Directions:
From St. Louis, take I-44 west to the Six Flags exit.  Go north on Six Flags Road
for about 2 miles to the Mustang Center on the right, in Greensfelder County Park.
Two small parking lots can be accessed from Fox Creek Road.  Turn north on
Allenton Road from I-44 then turn immediately west onto Fox Creek Road, which
runs parallel with I-44.

8.5 miles, plus 25 miles in Greensfelder park.

Ample at Mustang Center, limited at the two parking areas on Fox Creek Road.

Season:
Year-round.
No hunting allowed here except special managed hunts.
     
              
Fees:
No day use fees.

Equine Camping:
Not allowed.  Camping is available at Greensfelder Park.
                
Trail Notes:
This multi-use trail is rocky, slightly hilly, with downfall and a wet weather creek
to negotiate, but no other real hazards to be aware of.
        
          
Cart/Wagon Driving:
Not allowed or feasible.  Single track with no safe road riding available.

Water Available:
Drinking water:  Available at Greensfelder Park.
Water for horses:  A wet weather creek, or at Greensfelder Park.

Other Facilities:
No facilities at Rockwood, but many facilities at Greensfelder, including camping
sites, picnic tables, trash cans, bar-b-que pit, tie stalls, shelter, bathroom, showers,
round pen, and water tanks.

Other Activities:
Hiking, picnicking, wildlife study, photography, and mountain bike riding.
