Directions:
From west of the Sullivan area, take I-44 west to the Sullivan Hwy 185 exit.  Turn west
onto Hwy 185, which is basically the outer road at that point, and follow the road to Hwy
AF (which becomes Ridge Road).  Turn north and go 5 miles to the first trailhead parking
lot, which is on the left side of the road.  The second trailhead is just a little further down
Ridge Road, also on the left.
From St. Louis, Take I-44 West to the Stanton exit #230 (Highway JJ and W).  Turn Right
at the top of the ramp onto JJ.  Follow JJ for 1.7 miles until it curves around sharply to the
right.  At this curve, there is a triangle intersection with Acid Mine Road (paved).  Turn Left
on Acid Mine Road and go for 0.2 miles.  Turn Right on Luechtefeld Road (gravel with a
paved apron) and follow the curve to the right.  At 0.6 miles (from starting on the road, not
from the curve), follow the road around the corner to the left.  The road looks like it goes
straight ahead, but it becomes a private driveway.  After turning left, follow the road up and
down a few hills for 1 mile, to where the road ends at a stop sign at Ridge Road (gravel).
To get to the North parking lot, turn Right and go 1.4 miles.  The lot will be on the left.
About .2 miles before the lot, there is a small car lot but you'll see it's not really big enough
for trailers.  To get to the South lot, turn Left on Ridge Road and go 0.5 mile and then
the lot will be on your right.
