Trail Notes:
My friend Lalita and I rode this trail 8/2007 to update the info here.  This trail is heavily used
by equestrians because Valley Mount Ranch and Kraus Farms are both right there.  A lot of
trail rehab is being done here, making it an all weather trail.  What has been finished is
GREAT.  Signage is very well done here.  The brown * trail runs along the south side of the
area through a field.  This trail could get very hot.  The Red Triangle trail is mostly in the
woods and at one point runs right along side of I-44.  One spot looks up to the highway, the
other looks down to the highway.  It gets very noisy here, and you can see car movement
through the trees.  The yellow U trail gets very very hilly at times.  There is a creek crossing
here and there, but nothing too hard.  The trails that are not done being rehabbed are closed
and have a sign in front of them that you can't miss.

Cart/Wagon Driving:
Not feasible here at this time.  Some of the trail is wide enough, but not much of it, plus
there's a metal gate blocking the entrance to the trail, leaving only enough space for a horse
and rider to get by.

Water Available:
Drinking water:  At Valley Mount or Kraus Farms.
Water for horses:  Creeks and small ponds.

Other Facilities:
Trash cans and toilet facilities available at the trailhead.  There are a few benches, a picnic
table set up at an overlook, and a large trail sign at different spots along the trail.

Hiking, nature study, and yearly special archery deer hunts.

Car care, groceries, & restaurants:  Valley Park, 1 mile north.
