Trail Notes:
There are always rumors that this trail is closed to equestrians. As of 1/2007,
it is still open to us. This trail is quite rocky and hilly with some steep spots.
This is a party spot for the local teens and college students, so the weekends
can get crowded with rowdy partiers. There's also been a lot of misc. abuse
of the area. No real fantastic scenery, mostly forests and some glades. The
trail can get confusing because of a lot of illegally added trails, including some
that lead to private property. Do not cross Bidwell or Coldwater Creeks
during high water. Watch out for yellow jackets, venomous snakes, ATV's,
motorcycles, and trucks out "mudding".
Cart/Wagon Driving:
Allowed on all roads open to vehicular traffic and Forest Roads, but the main road through
the area has quite steep areas and the other forest roads are often in bad shape from ATV's
and 4-wheel drive trucks tearing them up, so I wouldn't say this is the best place for it.
