Directions:
Southern Trailhead: From Springfield, take I-44 west for 40.7 miles to Hwy 97. Turn
north on Hwy 97 and follow 4.7 miles to the trailhead road to the right. Turn right and
go 0.5 of a mile, cross a low water bridge and the parking lot will be at the end.
Northern Trailhead: Continue 2.7 miles further on Hwy 97 to the trailhead parking lot
on the right.

Trail Notes:
The trail is mostly gently rolling, but gets a little steeper as it nears the river. A few
creeks and drainages to cross, but no apparent hazards. Most of the trail is made
of fire roads that go through prairie, with spots of timber here and there.

Water for horses: Creeks and ponds.
