Extremely beautiful but rocky area.  There are only 2 miles of maintained trails
with a lot of old logging roads and un-maintained trails to follow.  There is an
old mound of rocks on Rock Pile Mountain, which is of course, where it got it's
name.  I have not been able to find it yet.  Be sure to have a map and compass.
No water crossings, very dry area.  Look out for rattlesnakes, copperheads,
ticks and yellow jackets during the summer.
