Directions:
Shawnee Trailhead:  This is the best trailhead to go to.  From Eminence, take Hwy 106
east to county road 106-112 and follow for 1.25 miles to the trailhead parking on your right.
Broadfoot Trailhead:  From the city limit sign
in Eminence, take Hwy 19 north for 2.1 miles
to County Road 205 (Fox Pen Road).  There
is no sign, but it's the first road you come to on
the right, after coming out of Eminence.  It's
before Coldwater Ranch, so you've gone too
far if you come to their driveway.  Turn right
onto C.R. 205 and follow for 3.1 miles to the
intersection of C.R. 205 & C.R. 206.  Stay to
the left. Continue 1.2 miles to the trailhead at
the end.  There is no way to make the turn onto
C.R. 205 if you are coming down south on
Hwy 19.  You have to turn onto the road from
Eminence.  The road is a hairpin turn off of 19
from the north.  The road is VERY narrow at
times.  This is not the best trailhead.

Miles of Trails:
23.5 miles in 4 loops.

Season:
Year-round.
* Caution:  Hunting is allowed here.

Fees:
No day use or camping fees.

Equestrian Camping:
Yes, allowed at all of the equestrian trailhead lots.

Trail Notes:
There is another trailhead, but it's not as easy to get to.  Call the park for directions to that
one if you want it.  The trail can be very steep and rocky in some sections, especially on the
Jerktail loop.  The wild horses in the area roam around the Shawnee/Broadfoot trails so you
have a chance of seeing them.  Be aware of the ride times at Cross Country Trail rides unless
you want to ride with 1000's of other horseback riders in the area.  Cross river only at
designated crossings.

Cart/Wagon Driving:
Not feasible here.  Trail is too rugged, narrow and rocky in spots.

Water Available:
Drinking Water:  Not available.
Water for horses:  Creeks along the trail

Other Facilities:
Outhouses and hitchrails at both trailheads.

Other Activities:
Hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, floating,
picnicking, wildlife study, & photography.

Other Services:
Car Care, groceries, & a restaurant:  Right there in Eminence

                  Eminence during the trail rides.
