sign to tell you where to turn.  Turn east and drive 6.4 miles to the head-

GPS Co-ordinates:
Peck Ranch:  37.04394, -91.15263

Trailer Parking:
Ample in the big field next to the Headquarter's office.
However, if it's wet rainy season, you can't park there
because it would tear up the field.

Road Maps:
Yes, by calling, or you can print a color topo map by going to:
www.mdc.mo.gov/documents/area_brochures/5203map.pdf

Miles of Roads:
20 miles of MDC public roads plus about 29 miles of gravel
roads surrounding the area for a total of about 49 miles of
roads, more or less.

Season:
You can't ride during special managed hunts, usually in October.

Fees:
No day use or camping fees.

Equestrian Camping:
Yes, in the big fields next to the headquarters.

Trail Notes:
These are all roads so you won't have any deadfall or creeks to
negotiate, but there are some very steep hills, especially on the
north side of the area.  This would be a wonderful option to ride
during the yellow jacket season.

Cart/Wagon Driving:
Allowed on all roads open to vehicular use.

Water Available:
Drinking Water:  Yes, there is a faucet on the side of the headquarters building.
Water for horses:  Creeks.

Other Facilities:
No facilities and if you camp here, you'd have to tie your horse to your trailer
because you're in a field with no trees or highline posts to attach a highline to.

Other Activities:
Hiking, camping, hunting, nature study, picnicking, photography,
& target shooting.

Other Services:
Car Care, groceries, & a restaurant:  Eminence, 3 miles east.
