Directions:
From Springfield, take Hwy 60 east for aprox. 40 miles to Hwy 5, turn south. Follow
Hwy 5 for aprox. 50 miles to Hwy 160, turn east. Go 2 miles to Hwy 181, turn north.
Drive 5.6 miles and watch for the sign that points to an unnamed gravel road entrance.
Then go .5 of a mile west to the trailhead.

Yes, camping is allowed in either of the two big fields available for camping.
Trail Notes:
All gravel road riding, so you don't have any hazards like downfall to negotiate. Lots
of steep hills to climb and vistas to look at. The occasional black bear has been
spotted in the area, so you need to be aware of that possibility.
Cart/Wagon Driving:
Allowed on all roads open to vehicular use.
Water Available:
Drinking Water: None available.
Water for horses: Creeks and wildlife ponds, but it is limited.
Other Facilities:
Outhouses, but no other facilities available.
Other Activities:
Hiking, camping, hunting, and target shooting.
Other Services:
Car Care, groceries, & a restaurant: Gainsville, 5 miles south.
