Trail Notes:
Trail is marked with white diamonds and the trail corridor is generally well traveled and easy
to follow.   There are several creek crossings prone to flooding, so use caution in periods of
and following heavy rains.  Several sections of the trail are through the bottoms near springs
and fens and become quite muddy.  Please refrain from riding here when wet.  There are
several steep sections, several switchbacks, and it is likely to be rocky in some areas.
Mountain bikes are also allowed on this section of the trail.  Equestrian users and bicyclists
are required to use CR79 for approximately a mile to bypass the sensitive Barton Fen area in
the northwest of the trail, 12.5 miles south of the Highway DD trailhead.  The trail crosses
paved Highways 32 and 49, so be alert for traffic at these crossings.  Trail also crosses
several gravel roads and forest roads, so there are many more miles of riding available.
Some of these roads lead to private property and privately-owned trails, which you may not
use.

Trail connects to the middle of the Trace Creek Section at the northern end approximately a
mile north of the Highway DD parking lot, and the Karkaghne Section at the southern end at
the Highway J parking lot.  (To access the Middle Fork section from Highway J, ride back
up the gravel road and directly across Highway J.  If you go south, you will be on a short
connector trail to the Karkaghne Section.)

Cart/Wagon Driving:
Not feasible.  The trail is too narrow and steep.
