Turn east on Highway J, travel for 3.5 miles to TH on right.  TH sign is small and hard to see.
Park along road on the left side or in clearing past a set of red gates.  Gates lead to private
property and are used frequently, so do not block.  Road and parking area are also on
private property so please treat them with respect.

Brushy Creek Lodge (recommended by OTA as alternate parking area):  Follow
directions to Highway J Trailhead, but continue on Highway J for approximately 1 mile.
Brushy Creek Lodge is on the right.  *Note Brushy Creek Lodge is privately owned and
charges a fee for camping or day use parking.  Please contact Brushy Creek before traveling
there to make arrangements.  Missouri Trailblazing has no association with Brushy Creek
Lodge and has no experience with camping or parking there.

gravel area on the right just after you cross the low water bridge.  Horses are not allowed in
Sutton Bluff Campground except in their horse trailer.
Highway P Trailhead:  From Centerville , take Hwy 21 south 2.6 miles.  Turn west on

Equestrian Camping:
Yes, primitive dispersed camping along the trail or at Brushy Creek Lodge.

Trail Notes:
There are steep, rocky hills, deadfalls, and water crossings.  You don't want to cross these
during high water.  There are several steep sections, several switchbacks, and it is likely to be
rocky in some areas.  Mountain bikes are also allowed on this section of the trail.  The trail
can get quite overgrown later in the summer season.  As always in the Ozarks, be watchful
for rattlesnakes, copperheads, ticks, yellow jackets and poison ivy.  The north end of this
trail joins the Middle Fork Section and the south end joins the Blair

Creek Section.  Trail also crosses paved roads so use caution.  Many more miles of riding
are also available on the many gravel roads and forest roads that cross the trail.  Some of
these roads lead to private property and privately-owned trails, especially near Brushy Creek
Lodge at the north end of the trail, which you may not use.

Cart/Wagon Driving:

*Trail Alert: Open during hunting seasons, so please use caution.
Trail open to hikers but the USFS recommends equestrians not use the trail due to large
holes in the trail tread from the spring derecho.  Estimated time frame to repair is at least a
year due to the amount of damage sustained and length of affected trail.
