Directions:
From Kirksville, take Hwy 6 east for about 45 miles to Hwy H, turn north.
Follow Hwy H north until it turns into Hwy Y in Midway. Continue north
on Hwy Y until you come to County Road 312, (Cottonwood Ave.)
Follow County Road 312 for 4.2 miles to the trailhead and equestrian
campground.

Miles of Trails:
10.5 mile loop.
Season:
Closed during the firearms deer season and from the first day of the youth
turkey season through the last day of the regular spring turkey season.
Fees:
No day use or camping fees.
Equestrian Camping:
Yes, there is now a large area to camp in at the end of County Road 343,
as well as another place on County Road 312. Both are shown on the map.
Trail Notes:
Trail is forested with some hills, creeks and downfall to negotiate. It
crosses, as well as follows some gravel roads so you may encounter
cars. Trails can get overgrown with tall grass in the summer and the
deerflies get really bad at the end of May.
Cart/Wagon Driving:
Unknown at this time. Researching now.
Water Available:
Drinking Water: Available near the lake.
Water for horses: Creeks.
Other Facilities:
Outhouses at the campgrounds and no other facilities.
Other Activities:
Hunting, hiking, nature photography, picnicking, target practice,
and mountain bike riding.

Car Care, groceries, & a restaurant: Lewistown, about 10 miles south.
