Directions:
From St. Joseph, take I-29 north to the Fillmore Exit. (Number 65).
Turn south onto the outer road, also called Hwy RA, and drive 1.3
miles to the entrance on the right. Turn right. There is a sign at the
entrance that says "Horse Trail". The trailhead and campground are
right there shortly after you turn into the area.

14 mile double loop.

Closed from Oct 15 - Jan 1 & during the spring turkey season.
Fees:
No day use or camping fees.
Equestrian Camping:
Yes. Quite a large primitive camping area right inside the entrance.
Trail Notes:
This trail goes through mostly forest, but also some fields. The terrain
is gently rolling without anything too severely steep. It is easy to follow
due to the fact that this is a favorite place to ride in the area so it gets
a lot of use.
Cart/Wagon Driving:

Water Available:
Drinking Water: Not available
Water for horses: Wildlife ponds.
Other Facilities:
Highline posts, hitch rails, outhouse, and a few picnic tables.
