Hulston Mill Trails- Dade County As of 3/30/07, all the trails have been cleared and are passable.
Bell Mountain Wilderness - Iron County Most of the downfall has been cleared. Since the trail is used primarily by hikers, there is more low-hanging branches to duck than at the parks more utilized by equestrians but is still easily passable.
Eleven Point River Section of the Ozark Trail - Oregon County There have been conflicting reports on the condition of this trail. Some people have reported it as passable and easy to follow, others have reported it overgrown and confusing due to lack of trail marking. The Ozark Trail website reports it as being in good shape and generally passable, although there is an area with some erosion issues
Goggins Mountain Trail & Trailhead - Reynolds County Goggins Mountain Trail is closed due to damage it sustained during a tornado and the redevelopment of Johnsons Shut-Ins State Park from the reservoir breach. There will no longer be camping down by the shut-ins, so they are redeveloping the Goggins Trailhead area to be the new campground. The equestrian trailhead will be moved north of the creek, and equestrian camping is planned. They are currently working on it and it should be open some time in 2008. Check back for more updates.
Karkaghne Section of the Ozark Trail - Reynolds County This trail, at the southern end, has been damaged by a lot of illegal ATV traffic. If you are there and see any ATV's, please report them to the Salem District of the Mark Twain National Forest.
Marble Creek Section of the Ozark Trail - Iron County This trail is in pretty bad shape and doesn't connect to anything any longer. There was a timber harvest a few miles in from the Marble Creek Campground trailhead and it pretty much obliterated the trail and markings. It has been recently adopted but the status of any trail work is unknown at this time. It's best to avoid this trail until better information is available. About the only part of the trail that is passable is from Crane Lake to the shut-ins area
Middle Fork Section of the Ozark Trail - Generally good. Except for being a bit overgrown near some timber sale areas, the trail is pretty clear due to quite a bit of maintenance this year.
Trace Creek Section of the Ozark Trail - Iron & Washington Counties Except for a few large trees down, this section of the trail is now in generally good shape. If you'd like to help clear these trees, volunteer by contacting the Ozark Trail Saw Boss, Roger Allison.
