Directions:  
From Columbia, take Hwy 63 north 18 miles to Hwy F, turn west.  Go about 7 miles
to Hwy T, turn north.  Drive 3.1 miles to County Road 229, turn west.  The road is
between a church and a cemetery and has a steep hill.  Go 1.6 miles to County Road
225, turn right.  Drive 1.8 miles to the campground.  You will pass a trailside general
store shortly before reaching the campground.

Extensive, but will become multiple moderate lots.

Miles of Trails:
12 mile loop.

Season:
Year-round
*Caution.  Open to hunters during hunting seasons.

Fees:
No day use or camping fees.  Donations welcome.

Equestrian Camping:
Yes, at the campground, which includes about 20 pull through sites and probably
30 to 45 sites total.  Pull through sites are all in the sun.  As the trail is changed, there
will be multiple moderate trailhead and camping lots scattered throughout the area.

Trail Notes:
The trail system is being renovated now and the renovation will continue for a few years.
There are creeks and downfall to negotiate.  Many illegal trails have already been
blocked off and are being allowed to revert back naturally.  As always, in Missouri
forests, watch out for rattlesnakes, copperhead, ticks and yellow jackets.  This area
gets very crowded on the weekends during riding season.  

Cart/Wagon Driving:

Drinking Water:  None available.
Water for horses:  Creeks and a pond at the campground.

Other Facilities:
Hitch rails, fire-rings, and a general store.  Kosy Kamp Campground is near the store and
provides less primitive camping facilities.

Hiking, hunting, fishing, and camping.
